EnterpriseAlumni Advisory

Strategic Advisory for Corporate Alumni Programs

Alumni value is built through deliberate design. Our senior advisors help you set the strategy, operating model and measures that turn a corporate alumni program into an asset that delivers against your business objectives, whether or not it runs on EnterpriseAlumni.

Scoped to Your Program

Advisory is senior, evidence-led counsel on the positioning, model and plan for your alumni program, scoped and priced on its own rather than around our software. Because we also build and run programs, our advice draws on benchmarks and alumni insight from practice. It starts where lasting value does: with the ownership, sponsorship and data strong enough to carry the returns you are asked to show.

What We Advise On

Six specialist areas that determine whether an alumni program receives lasting support.

Strategy and Positioning

Senior, evidence-led direction on positioning and priorities. We work out where you are today, where you need to be, and what to tackle first.

Proposition and Engagement

We shape what your alumni are offered, with distinct promises for senior leaders and the wider population, from how people leave to how the offer stays fresh.

Operating Model and Governance

The operating model, controls and reporting your program needs for accountability, ensuring it survives changes in personnel.

Capability

We mentor and develop your internal owners directly, sharing the judgment behind each recommendation, so the expertise stays with your team.

Business Development

Knowing where your alumni have landed, getting that intelligence to your commercial teams, and recording alumni-influenced opportunities.

Measurement and Return

A three-tier framework managed on leading indicators, with benchmarks that show how your program performs in context.

How an Engagement Works

Whether you’re building an alumni program for the first time or refining an established one, each engagement begins with a focused, senior-led phase and ends with a clear plan your leadership can approve.

1.

Assess

We start with your sponsors and the functions an alumni program serves, or could serve, to understand your priorities and ambitions. Using the six dimensions of our Alumni Network Maturity Model, we set out your starting point and target state, benchmarked against comparable programs, so you know where to focus first.

2.

Design

We build a prioritized roadmap to your target state, with the operating model, governance and measurement framework to get there, and a launch plan where the program is new.

3.

Embed

We build capability inside your team, deliver an executive readout, and re-score at agreed intervals to provide evidence of progress.

Start With a Conversation

Tell us where your program stands today and what it needs to deliver. We’ll tell you where we would start, and whether Advisory is the right fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

EnterpriseAlumni Advisory is for organizations launching a corporate alumni program, relaunching one that has stalled, or scaling an established program towards clearer business outcomes. It suits executive sponsors and program owners who need a strategy, operating model and business case their leadership can act on, whether the program serves business development, talent, employer brand or all of the above.
No. Advisory is scoped and priced separately from the EnterpriseAlumni platform and its service tiers. Engagements focus on strategy, operating model and measurement rather than technology, so we can work with you whatever system your alumni program runs on, or before you have chosen one. Our advice still draws on what we see building and running alumni programs.
Engagements typically begin with a three-month, senior-led phase that moves from assessment to an agreed operating model and roadmap, ending with a clear plan your leadership can approve. You can then extend into a twelve-month program of work. Each stage ends with a working deliverable and a facilitated leadership session.
The Alumni Network Maturity Model is EnterpriseAlumni’s diagnostic framework for corporate alumni programs. It scores a program across six dimensions on a five-point scale: three foundations (alumni ecosystem, network ownership and network advocacy) and three returns (business development, talent, and community and brand). Advisory uses it to set a baseline, define your target state, and re-score progress every six to twelve months.
We measure across three tiers. Leading indicators, such as activation against your addressable population and engagement depth by segment, let you manage the program week to week. Intermediate indicators, such as introductions, referrals and boomerang applications, show engagement turning into activity. Outcome metrics, such as influenced pipeline, boomerang hires and cost per hire avoided, show business impact to executive sponsors.
Start with Advisory if the open questions are strategic: what the program is for, who owns it, which returns to pursue first, and how success will be measured. Start with Managed Services if the direction is agreed and what you need is capacity to deliver. If neither is settled, Advisory comes first, because a well-run program aimed at the wrong goals still underdelivers.
