We're so proud to have been named 2023 Consortium Award Winners at Third Sector Business Charity Awards!! 🏆
A huge thank you to RefuAid who lead the way in helping refugees learn English and find jobs commensurate with their experience, and everyone who has taken part in every stage of the UK Ukraine Business Consortium, allowing refugees to build dignified careers through language, education and employment.
None of this would have been possible without our CEO Emma Sinclair MBE and the network of large companies (bp, Kier Group, Page Group Ltd, Mulberry England, AerFin Limited, FDM Group, PwC, The Midcounties Co-operative, The AA, Robert Walters, Dunelm, Gousto, finnCap Group, Gleeds, OVO, Currys plc to name a few...) who were keen to support the initiative and open their hearts, doors and resources to displaced peoples.
We hope this will continue to encourage businesses to support those from displaced backgrounds. As the Awards group highlight: "The partners have collectively supported 538 students to learn languages, supported more than 110 clients into roles commensurate with their skills and experience, lent more than £402,000 in interest-free requalification loans to 81 refugee professionals and supported 204 Ukrainians to apply for UK visas”.
