Lead QA Tester

We are a technology group, working to develop and advance the best SaaS/PaaS solutions for large enterprises around the globe to manage and engage their Alumni community. As a Lead QA tester, you will be a key member responsible for ensuring we deliver a high-quality client-facing solution for our flagship Alumni Platform. You will be working with teams in multiple geographic regions to improve our test processes, practices and coordinate testing of various features.

You will also work alongside the Product team to make sure our roadmap aligns with our customer usability requirements.

  • Working together with a Quality Assurance (QA) team to assess product problems and brainstorm solutions
  • Writing and reviewing testing plans
  • Investigating causes of defects that occur during the testing phase
  • Creating test plan automation procedures
  • Investigating customer complaints and non-conformance issues
  • Making sure platform meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • Communicating with other departments such as project management and engineering to coordinate scheduling for QA testing
  • Triaging of bugs by prioritizing, categorization and assigning to the relevant team for handling
  • 90% manual testing and 10% automation testing until there is a larger test coverage

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6+ years of recent professional testing experience
  • 2+ years’ experience leading a team of 3+ QA testers
  • 2+ years of automation experience working with Gherkin and Cucumber
  • Mobile/Responsive testing experience
  • Strong understanding of mobile/online content platform quality testing and product release
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to work effectively with continuous change and short deadlines
  • Minimal travel required, less than 10%
  • Working knowledge API and Services testing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field and/or Certifications such as Six Sigma, Quality Improvement Associate, Quality Engineer
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, C#, Python
  • Excellence in Jira ticket management
  • Proficient at creating and executing SQL Queries involving multiple tables, join statements and Stored Procedures
